"Kim's Darker Side": Paranormal Researcher & Investigator

Kim's Story:

Spending a great deal of time outdoors experiencing Nova Scotia’s rugged and historical beauty shaped Kim's wonderment for the land and people of the area. The unceded territory of the Mi'kma'ki. After 15 years of corporate sales, she has returned to her real passion: working with people, storytelling, and visual media.

From a young age, she was inspired by local Nova Scotian folklorist Helen Creighton and all of the supernatural stories that Helen wrote about. Attending the school which used to be Helen's school in Halifax, NS only added fuel to the fire to continue the oral traditions which are so ingrained in our culture here on the East Coast of Canada. Always finding local books about ghost stories and Maritime Lore, she has taken her dreams and aspirations about the paranormal to the next level.

Speaking of dreams, she has always been a vivid dreamer, often times growing up her dreams didn't make sense to her, but after the passing of a loved one, her dreams became a way of telling one on this side, messages from loved ones on the other side. With this ability now in hand, she started in 2005 doing her own research and taking courses in the parapsychological field and Reiki certification.

Back in 2018, Kim began writing and telling paranormal stories on her podcast show Boos & Bourbon, which led to traveling throughout the United States to visit some of the spookiest places in the country, including Indiana State & Waverly Hills Sanitoriums, Old South Pittsburg Hospital in TN, Graestone Manor in NY, The Conjuring House in RI, The Lizzie Borden House in MA, Bloody Mary's Haunted Museum in LA, and Fairfield County Infirmary in OH to list a handful!

By sharing some of her own experiences and connecting with others in the paranormal community, it brought her to the entertainment business, first as a co-host of Haunted in the 5th season, and then as a Production Manager of Haunted and Director of Maritime Museums since 2020. For 6 seasons she was a part of the investigative team on Haunted, Eastlink TV in Canada. She continues to do investigations with her friends on YouTube, and has her own mini-series, called Kim's Darker Side which can be found on Instagram and YouTube as well. Kim has spoken at the Halifax Paranormal Symposium and will be MC'ing 2024's event.

Recently, Kim has been expanding her knowledge in the Parapsychological field with Demonology Research and Mediumship courses, while continuing to work on documentary-style television series within Canada.
